Efficient Document Search and Replica Management in Peer-to-Peer Storage Systems

Marcel Waldvogel with Daniel Bauer, Paul Hurley, and Roberto Rinaldi:
Efficient Document Search and Replica Management in Peer-to-Peer Storage Systems,
talk at ETH Zürich (October 2003).

Abstract

Most processes in modern organizations rely on fast access to vital data. Spreading data over widely distributed heterogeneous systems promises to evade the increasing risks to critical infrastructure. In this talk, I will present mechanisms for the resilient storage and access of data, including safe, metadata-free replication and advanced queries in distributed hashtable (DHT) environments.
